Wohooo! See ya there everyone! I'll be going as Katara from "Avatar: the Last Airbender"--and failing to be accurate as her. Last night a friend and I attempted to sew at the last minute. We were too lazy, it was already midnight, we weren't even done, her procrastination rubbed off me--so we ducktaped the sides of the fabrics that wouldn't show to everyone else. My hair is black, and getting a wig would be difficult, so her wig won't be accurate. It's not even long enough, nor will I be able to make those front strands she pieces together with gold hairbands. Her outfit will be really cool, though. Her armbands don't go all the way around, but that's okay; got down her wristbands really well; we're hoping to make her sandals and choker out of the remains of the fabric from her outfit. I couldn't get blue contacts in time, so my dark eyes will not make me look Indian/Siberian/whatever she is.

I'll post pictures when I get back. Hopefully this Katara thing works, cuz I am not Indian!
